Sound familiar?
Mid-term rentals are broken.
From real reviews on Furnished Finder, Craigslist, and Reddit — the frustrations on both sides are real.
What renters deal with
“Listed as 'furnished' but the couch was a lawn chair and the bed was a cot.”
“Sent $3,200 deposit via Zelle. Landlord disappeared. Police said it's a civil matter.”
“Found out about the 'mandatory cleaning fee' ($400) after I'd already paid.”
“Four weeks of texting to get the WiFi password changed. I work from home.”
What hosts deal with
“Guest claimed to be a travel nurse. Was actually subletting on Airbnb at double my rate.”
“They left without notice after 6 weeks. Three months of electricity bills, unpaid.”
“Insurance said the guest was covered. When I filed a claim, suddenly they weren't.”
“It took Furnished Finder 11 days to respond when my guest stopped paying. Eleven days.”
How Tessora is different
Built for trust, not traffic.
We're not a listing aggregator. We're an end-to-end platform where every transaction is protected.
Real Verification
Every renter is credential-checked — license numbers, employment letters, insurance paperwork. Every listing is physically confirmed. No catfishing, no ghost properties.
Nurse licenses verified via NPI registry. Military orders cross-referenced with DoD.
Protected Deposits
Security deposits are held in escrow, not wired directly to landlords. Disputes are mediated within 72 hours by our team — not 11 business days.
Full deposit protection from day one. Transparent fee structure, no surprise add-ons.
Monthly Billing
Clear monthly invoices, autopay options, and a paper trail both sides can show HR, insurance, or the IRS. No Venmo, no Zelle, no handshakes.
Payment records formatted for FEMA reimbursement and corporate expense reports.
Who it's for
People who deserve better.
Tessora is purpose-built for the situations where reliable housing isn't optional — it's critical.
Travel Healthcare
Nurses, PAs, Techs
You've got a 13-week contract starting in 3 weeks. You need a furnished place, fast, in a city you've never lived in. Tessora shows you verified listings with accurate availability — and your credentials mean landlords compete for you.
Insurance Displacement
ALE-covered families
A fire, flood, or mold situation has made your home uninhabitable. Your insurer is covering Additional Living Expenses. You need a real home — not a hotel — with a paper trail your adjuster can accept.
Military PCS
Service members & families
Permanent Change of Station moves happen fast. You need a place before BAH kicks in, during the gap between housing allowances. Tessora hosts understand military timelines and don't penalize you for government delays.
Corporate Relocation
Expats & project teams
Three months in Chicago before the permanent move. Or a team of four engineers for a 60-day on-site. Tessora's monthly billing integrates with corporate expense platforms so you're not floating costs on a personal card.

Why “Tessora”?
An ancient promise, made modern.
tessera hospitalis
Latin, noun — “tile of hospitality”
In ancient Rome, two parties would break a clay tile and each keep half. When a traveler arrived at a stranger's door, the matching shards proved the relationship: I know you, I vouch for you, you are welcome here.
Tessora takes its name from this ritual — and its mission from it. Every verified renter is a matching shard. Every trusted host is the other half. The platform exists only to make the match trustworthy.
We built Tessora because we watched what happens when that trust breaks: travel nurses sleeping in hospital parking lots because a listing was fake; families in hotels for three months because an insurance claim was disputed; hosts getting ghosted for rent, twice.
The hospitality tile is broken. We're piecing it back together.
